Featured VideoWhat is Theatre?Theatre is first and foremost a fine art. Hamlet could be compared in beauty to the Mona Lisa or the Scream. It's fine art, and an elaborate art, which takes time, energy, and, above all, collaboration. Many people go to plays and see the greatness of the performances, but they don't take into account the writing, direction, and the amount of preparation that goes into a Theatre (or theater in America) production.
PricesGenerally, it costs a lot to build sets, hire actors and designers, so the cost of our plays may seem a little steep (ranging from sixty to two thousand), but we're not making much on these plays; we prefer to make art, not a lot of money. But, we do have to eat!
