During the eleven years of producing The Living Stations of the Cross at Our Lady of Sorrows (OLS), Kelly had a deep inner knowing that OLS was not where the production should only take place. That's not to say that OLS didn't serve as a poignant and enriching venue for the musical. But back in 2000 when Kelly wept on Good Friday and was given the vision of a theatrical performance of the Stations of the Cross, she knew that it was meant for a much larger audience than what OLS could provide. At the first performance at Detroit's Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Kelly finally realized that her baby had been birthed. Those long eleven years at OLS was actually the gestation period of this production. Without those hundreds of performances, Kelly realized, Living Stations would not have evolved into the epic theatrical production that it has become. Kelly's Vision is that Living Stations be performed world-wide. This life-changing experience should be witnessed by as many people as possible.
